no sound on new build
I just built a hybrid Tier 1, Tier 2, budget gaming pc. Everything is up and running fine, but I can't get any sound. I have tried connecting speakers and headphones with nos sound from either.

Here is a list of the parts I used:
AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
G.SKILL NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
PowerColor AX6850 1GBD5-DH Radeon HD 6850
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I have tried hooking both the HDA and AC 97 plugs into the mobo, but neither one works. I did get sound when I connected to my flat screen tv, but that was thru the tv speakers.

Motherboards always come with CDs, it's even in the newegg pictures. Did you get it open box or something?
