Tier 5 Build - My first home build
Here's a pic of the Tier 5 that I build back in July. Used all parts recommended in the current article. The system has been running like a charm, though I haven't overclocked it yet. Gotta learn how to do that. Cable management could be better, but considering it is a smallish quiet case, I think I did okay.

After completing the build, the one thing I would have done differently is maybe getting a bigger case. I'm of average height, but I've got big ass monkey hands. I installed the liquid CPU cooler fan/radiator in the back of the case. That required me to take the stock case fan from the rear and install it in the front above the one already there. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the top two screws for the front fan in as the screw holes were covered by the case (even after removing the door). My wife even tried as she's a tiny woman with tiny hands, but to no avail. Still, all is good.

Couldn't have done it without this site and the help I received from fellow members and all the great links in the articles.

Looks good. On the case fan screws, (based on a suggestion on this forum) I've stopped using them and have started using the rubber isolation plugs. Perhaps these can work instead of screws.

like these:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.7Ghz Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G HSF: Cryorig R1 Ultimate
Mem: 2 x 8GB G.Skill TridentX DDR3 2400 SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB + a few spinners
PSU: Seasonic SS-760XP Platinum Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Monitors: 2 x Dell 2007FP 1600x1200
