First build, advice appreciated.
Hey I'm considering ordering the pasrts to build this CPU, I just wanted to some advice 1st to see if there were better options to choose value wise I mean or if certain compontents were being wated based on other selections I have made. Any advice would be appreciated.

You should go with a sandybridge chipset instead of the Lynnfield. Also what are you planning to do with the computer. If you are just building it for games then go with the i5 2500 (unless you want to overclock in which case go with the i5 2500k). If you are planning on doing video editing or other thread intensive tasks then go with the i7 2600 (2600k if you plan on overclocking).

I also vouch for Sandybridge. What I love most about them is how cool they run. I'm running with no case fans and this thing runs 55C load.

I also support waiting for Sandy Bridge. It's really worth waiting since the Core i7 8xx series was launched in 2009.
If you're overclocking, I also recommend upgrading to the Corsiar A70. It's much quieter if that matters to you.
