*HELP* My 1.5 year old computer won't turn on anymore!
I built my computer about one and a half years ago. One morning I wake up and turn it on and it just does not turn on. I turned off the PSU and unplugged it and plugged it in somewhere else and it still did not work. I got a new power cord and yet it still refuses to turn on. I checked if everything inside the case was plugged in correctly and did not find anything wrong. Now I do not know what to do. My next guess would be the power supply is faulty but I have only had that for about a year. It is a SilverStone Strider 500W, 80 PLUS, Active PFC Power Supply (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034XR...UTF8&psc=1).
I spent a lot of money on this computer and I am extremely stressed out right now can anyone help me? What should I do? What are some common troubleshooting things I can do? Thank you so much to anyone that can help.

I'd work on isolating to the power supply or something else.

Is this your power supply? http://www.silverstonetek.com/downloads/...Manual.pdf

looks like there is a three year warranty.

To isolate you can use the paperclip test. If you have a voltmeter, you can even check power on all the connectors. I would disconnect everything from the PSU to do this test. I might even pull it out of the case if it isn't too much trouble.

Good luck. It must be frustrating.

Thank you so much for the help! I unplugged my PSU and plugged everything back before trying the paper clip test and to my surprise it worked! But now on the screen it just says: BOOTMGR is missing Press ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. After I did that the same screen shows up. Is there a way to fix this?

How good are your backups? If not good, I'd find some way to backup the data to avoid the potential disaster?

Then I'd follow steps like this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32523/how...-problems/

more here: https://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2622803/en-us

And there is always google.

I've had mixed results on what actually has fixed this and it often is helping others after they have attempted something else.

good luck.
