RE: The moment of truth
Everything looks good, I can't think of any improvements you could make. Though you might want to save a few bucks and get an Athlon II X3 450 3.2GHz which is a quad core with one core disabled.

As far as I know, games and the such don't use more than 3 cores at a time as of now. So if thats what your building for it would be an option.

RE: The moment of truth
Looks great very similar to what I will buy shortly here as well:

Here's my dilemmas they're all the same price:
case 1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811129042

Case 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811147144

(I'm leaning case 2)
Ram 1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

Ram 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820231277

Leaning number 2 because of the increased number of positive reviews.

Lastly on this processor AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX450WFGMBOX: can the Motherboard unlock the 4th core, and how would it compare to the current processor Zan, and I have? I think i'm going to get the cheaper one.

That's it if you can help me with those 3 questions, your expert opinions be great. thank you, and i'll be all set. I have my credit card ready lol Big Grin.

Case 2 has more fans. I like that. Smile
Ram are both the same. So I like either one. Smile

RE: The moment of truth
Going with the case with more fans, the gaming case, that Zan got.
Is geil a good brand, I know that's important it's 5 dollars cheaper but I've been told to get good ram Smile.

Should have posted Processors this way, make it easy:
Processor 1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103886

Processor 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...067296&SID=

Ram 1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

Ram 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820231277

(in the first one accidentally posted the same ram twice lol)

RE: The moment of truth
Get the G.Skill RAM, the GEIL RAM has 9-9-9-28 timings. (Lower is better)

RE: The moment of truth

I did end up going with the Athlon II X3 450

Who knows, maybe I'll unlock the fourth.

If they keep to their three day shipping guarantee, Thursday will be a very fun and busy day for me Smile

Thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences and knowledge to help make this custom build work out for me.
