sapphire r9 270x 4 gb for $219.99
previously @ $229.99, gone for a while now @ $219.99!

for $10 more, you get double the vram which is good for high res texture games like some skyrim and gta Iv mods.
however. keep an eye on the card because it's availability is on/off.
what do you think?

It is definitely a great price, and I see no reason not choose this over the 2GB models considering the price.

But is that card powerful enough to really benefit from that amount of Vram?

well. in my case i was playing titanfall beta with my 1 Gb gpu and due to low vram (and 4 GB ddr3 ram) it starts to stutter and loadings are much slower with the textures at max. but the game ran at a reasonable speed.
it would be good if you use your gpu as a long term buy or you like hi res texture mods.

For $10 more, might as well get the extra VRAM, can't hurt.
