The Computer
I went to bed, and woke up and many deals have changes, mostly for the worse, apparently they like adding 5 dollars here and 10 dollars there. Here's what I have it's similar to Zanath's build. I don't know if I should copy his build, but I found Geil's 1600 DDR3 ram for 45 dollars, I don't know if I should get the g-skill like others. If any of his stuff is better than what i'm listing, his budget seems similar to mine so feel free to just link his lol: Here we go.

I think everything is compatible and I have all the components, I know the drive comes bare, will my case or mb provide cords? Also on the drive am I better off with the 500gig WD Black Carrier for 60 dollars?

I plan to buy soon, I wish I bought yesterday, but I guess it pays to do your shopping gathering earlier, i didn't buy because i was so caught up in learning all the new stuff, so i know what i was getting.

Sorry for the double post, my main questions are on processor is Zan's better, but I was reading that one can be unstable if you unlock the 4th core. Then on the HD, I think I can live off 320 gigs, 500 would be better I think... I don't need raw space. The case I have came with good reviews, aside from noisy fans (let's hope they're not that noisy).
Neat feature for double posts.

RE: The Computer
Everything is compatible. Your motherboard will have two SATA cords, which is all you need. WD Caviar Blacks aren't much better, I'd stick with the F4, it often is faster.

With the processors, there's a chance that the deactivated cores are defective, and there's a chance that they do work. It's a gamble.

There is another benefit of getting a Phenom II black edition processor ... the overclocking process is simpler.

Although since it's only $10 more to get the Athlon II that is guaranteed to have four working cores... I don't know.

RE: The Computer
If the cores worked, then get Zan's if they were to be defective then it wouldn't be worth it. Me and Zan (my rival in cheap computer building after all the great deals have been passed up), anything I should be stealing from him or vice versa.

Difference: My case is different, my ram is different.

RE: The Computer
The chance of unlocking the cores is 50/50 ? Better odds than anything in Vegas, but still not real comfortable

If it's 50-50 then don't buy it, I read since it's designed for dual core, they had no problem unlocking the 3rd but it was (for some) unstable on the fourth. I don't know if you can test it, then return it if it doesn't unlock, I think i'll keep what I have, I'm happy with it, though you're doing the g-skill ram should I do that too?

Everything looks good. Get the second wireless adapter, it's twice as fast.

RE: The Computer
Thanks a lot I really appreciate that, I got the second one (plus a free hub thing see if it comes in handy). Lucky I bought this last night, or the Ram would have been gone. Everything is on the way. I wonder if I got the ideal Hard Drive, it was recommended, by you or someone else, but I noticed after purchase it was a 16mb cache, but had great reviews on its speed though.

RE: The Computer
Cache isn't everything when it comes to harddrive. The F4 is one of the fastest hard drives out there.
