Just rubber around the cable routing holes, that keep the cables from rubbing against the sharper metal. Pretty standard in newer cases, like the first one you linked. Again, just a luxury if you already have a decent case.

No need to spend the $20 on the "K", if you don't think you'll overclock. You can actually push the "locked" CPUs a little higher (see the CPU section of the mainstream article).

That mobo looks likes fine. I believe I've read good reviews on that series. Plus you'll have the option to drop in a second, R9 290 down the road in cross-fire, (if the need arises).

Ok will keep all this in mind. probs gonna buy the parts next paycheck (tuesday) so ill let you know what I got.

Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying the PC tonight. I've decided to drop the HDD because I can buy it next week on my next paycheck. For now im thinking I will get this card instead:

But I'm wondering will my current power supply be good enough for it? Also does my case have good enough air flow?

Edit: I asked somewhere else and was told it would be fine. I've gone ahead and purchased the 780Ti.

Nice! Did you get a bonus or something this week?

It's probably more power efficient than the R9 290 (and cooler/quieter); although, the price-to-performance ratio is a lot higher. At least now you have the fastest single-GPU card on the market, and you can even drop a 2nd one in down the road.
