build check and video card advice
Hi there, building my first PC and want to make sure everything here will play nicely together!
I'm most concerned about the video card because the ones recommended in this site's guide for gaming PCs are sold out or have increased in price, so I'm not sure I've made the best choice here. I'm not sure which make of the GTX 760 I should purchase.
I will be adding additional drives for storage, and purchasing SATA cables for them.
I'll be using/reusing things I already own if it makes sense to, so that money can go towards new stuff.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K Quad-Core 3.4 GHZ 6 MB Cache
Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S
Motherboard: ASRock B85M Pro4 B85 4xSATA6Gb/s 4xUSB3.0
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (already own this)
Video Card: Nvidia GTX 760 (
Hard drive: Samsung 840 120GV SATAIII SSD (already owned, new)
Power Supply: Rosewill 650W 80 Plus Gold
Computer case: NZXT Phantom (already owned, new)

Thanks for your advice!

RE: build check and video card advice
The GTX 760 is a great card, but we need to know a little more information. what types of games do you play? and what's the resolution of the monitor you play them on?

As for which card to buy, I just look at the reviews and choose the cheapest one.

For the rest of your parts everything looks goods except that you have an unlocked CPU combined with a motherboard that doesn't support overclocking. If you don't plan on overclocking you can get the i5 4670 non k and save a few dollars. If you do want to overclock check out the mainstream article for the recommended motherboard.

Hi, thanks for your comments!

I play games like Team Fortress 2, Skyrim, Saints Row IV, etc. My native resolution is 1920x1200.

I don't plan on overclocking so I'll scale back a bit on the CPU.

Thanks!

A GTX 770 would be more suited for that resolution, but has a higher price tag.

Here is a benchmark that compares the two cards, so you can decide for your self.
