RE: First Build Attempt
Looks like a solid build to me. You might want to consider adding a hard drive for additional storage, or getting a larger SSD. 256GB might get tight if it's your only drive. Disregard my comment if you already have another drive that you intend to use.

Also note that the motherboard only includes two SATA data cables. If you have another drive (SSD, optical drive or hard drive) that you intend to use, you'll need an additional SATA data cable.

RE: First Build Attempt
Thanks for the quick responce! I will be adding a HDD down the road, but for the time being I have a WD 1TB external drive I intend to use, and will order a few extra SATA cables. Also being new to PC gaming what type of keyboard and mouse should I look into (prefer wireless) and thoughts on using a Xbox 360 wirelss controller for Windows? Thanks in advance!!!

If you look at the bottom of the budget gaming article you will see some suggestions on keyboard and mice.

As for the Xbox 360 controller, you can buy a wireless receiver found on amazon. I personally haven't used one I have a wired controller.

RE: First Build Attempt
I'd look into a mechanical keyboard, if you have the budget for one. They're a lot more fun/effective to type and game on.

What monitor will you be using with this build, and what games to you intend to play? I ask, because some of the specs may be overkill if you're only gaming on a single 1080p monitor.

I wish I would have seen this post yesterday I just picked up a keyboard last night.

For a monitor I will be using my actual TV, it is a Samsung ES6100F 55" LED tv. I do usually play an assortment of different games anything from BF4, COD Ghosts, down to Roller Coaster Tycoon and the original Doom. Really just wanted to make it as future proof as possible, while having something solid to play on for years to come.

RE: First Build Attempt
Keyboards not a big deal. Just try one out if you get a chance. Some people love them, some people don't notice the difference.

I'm assuming that TV runs at 1080p, so your build should be "as future proof as possible". That should put you well over 60 FPS on any game I can think of now or in the next few years. Really, you could run most current games on 3 TVs with that setup.
