My 1st Gamming CPU
This was my 1st attempt (I Picked out the parts) for a gamming CPU.
Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Quad Core) 8000K Corsair Cooling Hydro, extra quiet Liquid Cooling System ASUS SABERTOOTH X58, DDR3, SLI & Cross Fire,SATA3, GB LAN, USB 3.0,iEEE 12GB (6x2GB) PC3 12800 DDR3 1600 Triple Channel ATI Cross Fire Radeon HD 6870 1GB x2 Quad head, DVI, HDMI (2 cards) HDTV TV Tuner Capture Card PCI Exp w/ Remote 1000.0GB Western Digital Black 7200RPM SATA 3 6.0Gb/s 64m cache Blue-Ray 8X Recorder,16x Light Scribe DVD Recorder SATA combo drive Realtek HD digital audio (onboard) Ethernet network adapter (onboard) Cooler Master HAF-932 black, front USB, iEEE & eSATA CORSAIR CMPSU-800G GAMING SERIES GS800 800W POWER SUPPLY Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit DVD and CA Industries Security Suite/PC Tuner Software Any suggestions for future upgrades? The 800W PSU is quite overkill (not that that's a bad thing, just saying) but besides from that everything looks good. I'm assuming you built this before Sandy Bridge and the Radeon HD 6950/6970s came out.

Wanted to have power supply for future upgrades allready there. The vidio cards were under 200.00 after rebate. Figured Sandy Bridge still had issues. Wanted to keep my budget of around 2000.00, (1550.00 towards parts and 490.00 went towards software, Labor and Warranties) and still have a decent build (Bang for the Buck) which I did.
