Hobbies outside of the Computer World?
When the monster that is school isn't absorbing all my time, I try to practice bass guitar [Been Playing for less then a year, so its still slow going, but I enjoy it.] Other then Bass Guitar and writing some amateur music with a couple other friends I do a little sketching with graphite on the side.

Oh and I mess around with my friends electric guitars occasionally, though I'm far from any good. Using a pick is just beyond me Tongue

So how about you guys? What keeps you busy and motivated outside of computers?

I used to paint but I recently gave that up. I really don't do much now, though I'm trying to relearn GIMP and possibly some programming.

School and procrastination seriously absorb all my time.

Oh I know all about procrastination. Stumbleupon is the worst toolbar ever invented. In fact I have an essay that I should be writing right now. *Sigh*

And I know disappointingly basic programming. I tried to learn a couple different languages on a couple different occasion, but maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it's just too dry for me. None of it ever seems to be adequately explained.

Try being self-employed, working on the Internet. Tongue Procrastination is my #1 enemy LOL!

Hobbies wise, I'm a photographer (Recently bought a Canon Rebel XS DSLR), writer (outside of HR that is), I'm learning Systema (Martial arts based on Russian Special Forces training developed during the Cold War, really cool since we actually practice on each other.), I like to cook and try all kind of foods and finally, planning to be an avid traveler soon, saving up for it, since I can work from pretty much anywhere with an Internet access.

What is this place ... "outside of the computer world?"

I'm a freelance photographer myself, I had to sell my 8MP Rebel recently, but I've done a few weddings, concerts, and worked as a school portrait photographer for about a year.

I play bass guitar and sing in band. We're working on our 3rd album right now, hoping to get it out by the end of the year. Between that and killing monsters (and time) on the computer, there goes all my free time!

I take care of a 2 year old most of the time. Big car guy. Since starting to stay at home have dabbled in the world of cooking a lot. I'm also an old school nerd and play tabletop rpg's. Cool

I play bass guitar and was working on a control line model airplane before we had to pack it up to move :/

I also LOVE reading...basically anything genre, as long as it's well written, although Sci-fi and Fantasy are my favorites! (You just can't beat some Robert A. Heinlein!!)
