First of all, Hello!

I am building my first gaming PC ever, and I researched a little bit and this are the parts I came up with. If someone would be so kind as to tell me if everything is compatible or if they have a better suggestion on parts I would appreciate it. My budget is around $1,000 dollars

I know this may seem like a redundant question, but, do you already have a copy of windows or do you plan on using linux? Believe it or not there are some people that forget that type of stuff. Smile

Overall I think ur pretty good. Just perhaps the power supply might be a little on the edge. Would recommend at least a 650W PS to have some wiggle room + give the recommended 100W buffer. You run your build through the power consumption calculator yet? http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

Also helpful if you are looking to OC here and there.

Any reason why you are looking at DDR2 vs DDR3 for your RAM as well?

As mentioned in the last post, DDR3 RAM is what the motherboard uses.

That power supply is not the best quality. Also Like everyone mentioned you need different ram.

I agree on the power supply. Take a look at a Seasonic or even an Antec.

You're kind of on the cutting edge there between the GTX 700 series and Haswell CPU. Smile Heard great things about the 700 series though. "Boost 2.0" on the GPU. Let's you set a noise or temperature threshold, and then automatically overclocks the card until it hits that threshold. Bummer you don't get all the free games that AMD is offering, but those won't last as long as the card will anyway.

Everything looks compatible to me.

Oh, you might be short 1 SATA cable if the DVD drive doesn't come with one.

I also tell a lot of people, the non-pro Samsung 840 is still crazy fast, if you want to save a few bucks. (or better yet, get the 256GB non-pro for a few bucks more).
