Mechanical Keyboard questions
So I have zero knowledge of mechanical keyboards and I was wondering where I could go for a great source of information. There are soooo many different switches and no place for me to try them out. I happened to be browsing ebay and saw THIS and figured what is the difference between that and any other keyboard that has cherry black switches.

Why is that keyboard so cheap as compaired to something like a DAS Keyboard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smile

edit - BrandonSR sent me this link on steam. It has a lot of good information PCworld switch guide thingy

edit 2 - After watching videos without my headphones on my wife said if I buy a keyboard that makes noise when I press buttons she will pretty much snap it in half. lol So I guess that means I am relegated to getting brown switches.

edit 3 - It was suggested by BrandonSR to get this one since there will be no clicky noises and so my wife won't murder me lol Ducky keyboard thing

Mechanical Keyboard questions
Honestly I didn't know what was the hub bub about with mechanical keyboards. I mean I'm currently using a Dell keyboard and it works fine.

It's one of those things that I guess you really don't notice until someone points it out and then you simply must have it!

Although I agree on the clicking part... Why in the world would you wanna find a keyboard that actually makes more noise? Lol, for 80's nostalgia of the IBM keyboards of yesteryear? Smile

If you end up going with one Phrosty, let me know what you think.

Re: Mechanical Keyboard questions
Well I ended up getting the razer black widow ultimate 2013. I got it at best buy but they price matched amazon so it save me twenty bucks. They are cherry mx blue switches.

Re: Mechanical Keyboard questions
Yeah blues are the loudest click lol. I like it so far. It will take me a bit to get used to it though. She doesn't hate it as much as I thought she would but I can tell it kind of bugs her. I never realized how heavy duty these things were though. Holy cow.

Re: Mechanical Keyboard questions
I am not sure if I will be getting browns. I am so indecisive with expensive purchases. Especially lately with the wife being pregnant and needing to put money away lol.
