Firefox issues
Hey all,

Recently have had some issues with videos either just stopping or the audio cutting out while playing and i have to change the seek bar to get it working again. Also every time i click on a link it tries to open/download it's .asp page.

Any suggestions for resolving the issues? I think it's only on firefox. Should i try some sort of reinstall of it?

Thanks.

RE: Firefox issues
Probably an issue with Flash (it keeps crashing on Firefox for me). Try un-installing and re-installing Flash or alternatively, watch videos on Chrome Wink

RE: Firefox issues
it seems there has been 3 complaints (including me :p ) about ff/flash high cpu usage. i scanned my pc with mbam, found some stuff and removed it. i haven't experienced any issue so far. do it and let me know if i'm right or not.

I agree with Chrome. I use it and it is the fastest of the browsers I use. Also, Firefox was giving me problems too.

RE: Firefox issues
if the video requires flash it probably wont matter, at least it didnt when i found a problem with it with BF3. it didnt matter which browser you ran. like i said in that post, 11.6 r604 had problems. they disappeared with 11.7(the newest release of flash plugin).

as a side note flash has had the high cpu usage for over 3 years now with some of the releases.

RE: Firefox issues
So i tried switching to chrome and the audio on video streaming still cuts out randomly. Doesn't happen on youtube, only other streaming sites for anime mostly.

Does this mean it's connected to the audio driver or something?. I have an ASUS Xonar DG.

RE: Firefox issues
I ended up downgrading my flash player and the issues stopped. Probably just gonna have to wait until the next flash player update and hope it fixes the issues, although i won't know when they update anymore lol.
