O_O....so....big....(and I have that same case! 300 illusion, right? Big Grin )
Also, does the screen auto-adjust to fit correctly? I see it's not fully displayed... (I had the same problem when my TV for over a year - just figured out how to fix it on mine, which is why I wonder)

Re: updated my rig
Yup the 300 illusion still going strong! It has held all my single GPU configurations. I thought the new 7970 was going to be to long, I was ready to cut into the HDD cage if i had to, but nope the GPU fits perfectly. Even more so than the 5870 it replaced. The non reference cooler is a weird shape which made it fit easier length wise.

Yeah these DLP sets cut off a bit of the sides of the screen and top/ bottom. You wouldn't notice on regular use but using as a PC it's obvious. The only way I figured to get the full desktop screen would be to lower the screen resolution, but i didn't want to do that. I made all icons 150 percent larger to see the hidden icons a bit better, but it's not perfect. What did you do on your TV set?

RE: updated my rig
I can't quite remember if it was too big at first (I think it was), but I tweaked it a bit and in the end my screen image was a little too small, and had a black border around the edge of the image (same concept in theory though). I felt this was better than too big, so I had it this way for almost 2 years...

Turns out my TV has a "HDMI (DVI)" port on the back, and it makes a difference (not sure why, but it does). When doing some hardware rearranging, I plugged the HDMI into that port instead of one of the other standard ports, set the profile for the port to PC, and blammo, perfect fit via the HDMI with audio to boot. As a note, I spent an hour troubleshooting when I got no audio because I set the profile to PC DVI, so it cut the audio, so if you have settings like that, avoid that...lol If you're using optical cables, non-issue.

Hope that helps, but good luck if it doesn't. I don't know why computers seem to not fit on some HDTVs, but I bet there's some way for you to get it right hiding somewhere.

Re: updated my rig
Thanks for the tip. My computer goes through my receiver via HDMI, so I'll just live with it for now. Thanks bro.

RE: updated my rig
No worries. You might check which port the receiver is plugged into on your TV. Not sure if that will change Cable/Sat images, though...

RE: updated my rig
Wow. impressive. but doesn't amd ccc has some options to fix the overscan issue?
one question: do you experience any response time delay when you are playing any game? I would really like to know.

Re: updated my rig
Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure my tv does have a pc input. I might try plugging the receiver out to the one. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip, i haven't thought of checking ccc for the over scan issue, I will when I get home.

If I was gaming with a wireless keyboard and mouse, I'm sure there would be some delay. I just bought a 360 controller to use for my PC (don't hate) and I haven't noticed any lag with it so far, only played a few hours of crysis 3 though. And if your talking about the screen lag, there is none. DLP is super fast with no ghosting. Again thanks for the tips.
