Building A Budget Gaming PC
I am building a computer for my brother. He wants to build a new computer from his 7+ year old one. He doesn't want to spend much on it though. He was hoping for around $400. He doesn't intend to be gaming intensely, just light gaming with maybe some new games. This is the build I made up, only thing is that its around $550. Is there anything I could go lower on?

I only need computer parts. Monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc is not needed. Also, casing is not needed either. What can I go lower on?

Not much you can change. The only thing i can think of is wait for a sale on the 3570k, NCIX had one for 179 i believe not to long ago. Maybe black Friday something will show up. Unless you want to downgrade the cpu and motherboard.

You could wait on the video card for now if it's feasible that you could pick it up later or wait for more money (Christmas Tongue).
