Computer losing boot drive occasionally

RE: Computer losing boot drive occasionally
I checked out the motherboard and no capacitors were loose nor were any bulging. I decided to try something different. I had been using only ports on the Intel SATA controller since I had some unused and was thinking a port was going bad. I noticed that I had never used the SATA ports on the JMicron SATA/PATA controller. I moved the boot drive from the INTEL ports to the JMicron ports to determine if it is the INTEL controller that is malfunctioning.

Things ruled out:

1. The drive itself
2. The capacitors
3. The cable

The only thing around the hard drive I hadn't checked was the SATA controller. I am typing this after having booted on the different SATA controller.
