Sub-500 Build Help
I am looking at building my first PC and was hoping to find some help by getting a look over of the parts and seeing if they are compatible with one another. I will be using this mainly as a gaming system with games that I have bought off of Steam.

CPU: Intel Core i3-2120
Motherboard: Biostar H61MLV LGA 1155 H61 MicroATX Intel Motherboard
Video Card: EVGA NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 1024MB GDDR5
Ram: 4GB DDR3
PSU: Thermaltake 500 Watt ATX Power Supply
Memory: 320GB SATA 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Optical Drive: ASUS 24x Internal DVD
Tower: Cooler Master HAF912 Mid Tower

Thank you to everyone that helps!

P.S. My game list includes:

Assassin's Creed 1, 2, and Brotherhood
Bastion
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Bioshock 1 and 2
Borderlands
Dead Space 1 and 2
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fallout 3
Half-Life 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Metro 2033
Portal 1 and 2
Prince of Persia
Team Fortress 2
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction

I am planning on getting newer games as well such as Skyrim

RE: Sub-500 Build Help
What resolution will you be gaming at?. The thermaltake PSU is no good, get this Antec power supply instead its more reliable in every aspect.

PS: you posted in the wrong section. we have a section for questions.Tongue

RE: Sub-500 Build Help
The Tier 2 will handle TF2 HL2, LFD2, and Portal 2 at max settings at 1080p, so 720p should be better. As for the other games, high or max settings will do fine.

RE: Sub-500 Build Help
Alright thank you! And would this CPU really be able to deal with two 550 Ti's or would it just bottleneck?

RE: Sub-500 Build Help
Unless you want PhysX, go with two 7770s, as it has better peformance, and it won't have your fps jumping all around.
No, it won't be bottleneckedSmile
