$2000 Build Help?
My friend has $2000 maximum to build a computer. What combination of parts would you use? He wants to game on the computer.

Take a look at Tier 8 and 9 and see what you and your friend thinks of the components. If you have any questions on alternatives, comparing tiers, etc. feel free to post them.

RE: $2000 Build Help?
He wants to play Minecraft with shaders and realistic texturepacks. And maybe something future proof. Only thing I don't really know what he should get is what kind of motherboard and graphics card?

Anyone wanna make a setup for me? That would be much appreciated.

Look through the builds here: http://www.hardware-revolution.com/compu...gaming-pc/

And decide what setup best meets your/his needs. A $2000 computer is pretty overkill for just Minecraft, hopefully you'll/he'll be doing other stuff with it, otherwise I'd suggest not throwing down that much money into it, maybe putting it into extra peripherals/accessories.

RE: $2000 Build Help?
here's what techlove's 2 grand got him to give you an idea, pricing would prolly vary a bit though:

http://forums.hardware-revolution.com/sh...p?tid=3222

now you could drop off one of the gpu's and add a descent monitor, win7, mouse and keyboard.

just an example of what $2k might look like.

good luck
