SSD and RAID 0
I'm looking to build a tier 3/4 gaming PC but want to use two of the SanDisk 120GB SDD and setting them up in a RAID 0. I'm planning on using the BIOSTAR TZ77B Z77 mobo.

My question is, do I need a dedicated RAID controller or does the motherboard support it natively? If it doesn't, can you recommend a motherboard or a RAID controller?

RE: SSD and RAID 0
The motherboard supports it natively, but there isn't much of a point in doing a RAID 0 with two SSDs.

What I mean is that they are so much faster than HDDs that one will already make a huge difference and you probably won't notice a difference between one SSD and two SSDs in RAID 0. Not to mention the increased chance of failure due to RAID 0.

If anything, get a larger 240GB model. Larger SSDs are faster than smaller ones, due to the way they are built (I don't feel like going into details Tongue )

Wow, thanks for the extremely fast response! That was what I figured, so I'm jumping on the 240GB one now and looking to build Thursday of Friday.
