Looking to update my video card.
Hi guys.

I'm thinking about replacing my current video card (or adding another) to my computer, but I'm not quite sure which one to go with. My reason of replacing (or adding) another video card is that with Adobe CS6 coming out, I want to be able to take full advantage of some of the features coming out for Premiere and After Effects.

Now here's what's in my computer as of now (This is based off a build back from 2010 that was in Hardware-Revolution):

CPU - Intel i5 2.8 GHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
Ram - 8GB G.Skill RIPJAW
Video Card - MSI GeForce 460GTX
Storage - Samsung FE 1TB
Optical Drive - ASUS Sata 24X DVD Burner
SeaSonic S12II Bronze 520W

This build is more optimized for gaming. But I've been using Premiere and After Effects CS5.5 and it's been running very well for me on my machine. Now the video cards I am somewhat looking into to add/replace to my current one are (Based off the Workstation and Gaming PC Builds):

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560

EVGA GeForce GTX 560

I'm just not sure which one I should end up going with. If anyone could offer some insight or input it would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Big Grin

RE: Looking to update my video card.
The Gigabyte is a Geforce GTX 560 Ti, while the EVGA is a Geforce GTX 560 Non-Ti. Go with the Gigabyte, as the GTX 560 Ti is significantly faster than the GTX 560 Non-Ti.

Alternatively, consider a GTX 560 448 Cores, which is even faster.

Appreciate the response, thanks!

One more question though. Will I be able to run both video cards, or should I just replace it when I get the GTX 560 TI?

RE: Looking to update my video card.
You should just replace it, you need cards from the same series (e.g. two GTX 560 Ti) to run them in SLI.
