Asus P8Z68-M Pro
Thats the motherboard I'm currently using and I seem to have trouble during bootup. So basically, the problem is that it says no devices detected after POST. However, once I get into the bios, I can pick my boot device (Force 3 SSD) and it'll start up just fine.

RE: Asus P8Z68-M Pro
Is this on a new build or a build that used to boot without any issues before?

Have you changed anything in your BIOS recently?

I'm assuming that the SSD is first in your boot order, right?

This was a new build, reusing a few components of my old previously working build. Components reused were fan, dvd drive, fan controller, power supply, and SSD/HDDs. I did do fresh installs of the SSD, but not the HDDs (only contained installed games and music, videos, documents, etc). And yeah, the SSD is first in boot order.

If it helps I can post a video of how it looks like, but it'll be from a phone camera Tongue

Sure, a video would be useful. Try to use something to keep your phone steady, so that I can clearly see the text on the monitor and what's happening.

Is it possible to post the video here? Or should I link it from youtube?
Well I went ahead and posted on youtube since I didn't want to eat up your bandwidth.

Link: http://youtu.be/_HZJAZyereM

let me know if that works.

You need to host it on Youtube first.

Once that is done, click on new reply, then simply click on the little TV icon, choose Youtube and enter the url of the video in that field that appears.

Looks like your SSD is being detected just fine, your system refuses to proceed further because of a CPU fan error. Most likely that's because it's not plugged where the system expects it to be plugged. Make sure that your CPU Cooler fan is plugged into the CPU_fan header. Let me know if that fixes the issue.

Edit: Said CPU_fan header is located on top of your motherboard, between the CPU socket and the RAM slots.

Oh, I hooked everything up via a fan controller (sunbeam rheosmart 6 channel) but I didn't connect the PWM cable. I'll try that and see how it goes.

RE: Asus P8Z68-M Pro
So I tried plugging in a 3 pin fan into the CPU header which is a 4 pin, but it didn't resolve the issue. And for some strange reason it didn't even get rid of the "CPU_Fan error." The fan did spin up, so I think thats a sign that the mobo detected it albeit it was a 3 pin and not a 4 pin.

Mathieu, if you take a look at the video from about 29-32 seconds, it looks like its trying to load something, and then at 33 seconds in, it says "can't find any device." Is it possible that somehow my SSD is "late" to turn on, if thats even possible?
