My impression (from my very limited knowledge) is that the full size ATX boards are better than the micro-ATX boards because of upgrade potential from simply having more space, likewise for additional ports, and for cooling, I would assume, due to there being more space between the parts.

I may be completely wrong but I've just been trying to avoid the micros. So do I have a false impression of the micros? Also, for comparison's sake, do you have a non-micro board you could recommend that's offers the same features as the board you recommended and for around the same price.

Edit: Correction I started with a Core i5-2400 (not a Core i3-2120) and was told that was overkill for the Radeon HD 6870. Sorry for the confusion.
