New build - will it work...?
Hi all.

I checked out some sample builds on the hardware-revolution page and decided to make something similar (not exact as components aren't available). I think the following is ok but if you could give an expert opinion on if the parts are compatible that would be great. Thanks!

Intel Core i3 2120

ASRock H61M-HVS-B3 Motherboard

Corsair 4GB (2x 2GB) DDR3 Memory

Thermaltake 500W Power Supply

Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Midi Tower Case

Already have HD and optical drives

It should work fine. You may even be able to use a smaller power supply if you are only going to use the video on the motherboard.

Do you plan on adding a video card? also that power supply is not reliable I would buy the silverstone PSU that is recommended for tier 2, it's alot more reliable and leaves plenty of room for future upgrades.
Case: Corsair Carbide Air 540 CPU: i5 3570K Cooler: Water Loop Motherboard: ASrock Extreme 3 Gen 3 Z68
Corsair Vengeance 8gb] Video Card: EVGA GTX 1070 FE Power Supply: Corsair TX 750w

Thanks for your advice mwhals and poppy!

I was planning on using the motherboard video to start with and maybe adding a video card later. Will have another look at power and stay away from the Thermaltake.

Thanks again!
