No, of course not. Modern SSDs can easily last 7-10+ years and have optimizations in place to keep writes low, as well as spare memory area to replace failed memory.

with win7, microsoft office 2010 pro, drivers, various small software apps, steam client, with 6 games, origin client with bf3, bf2 the complete collection with update patches comes to around 70 gig used drive space if i figured correctly.

as a side note, bf2 map load time will benefit in gameplay with an ssd.
