Build check
CPU - i5 2500k (Bought)
MOBO - Asus P8Z68-v LX (Bought)
GPU - XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870
RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB
SSD - Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5″ 120GB SATA III
PSU - KINGWIN Lazer Gold Series LZG-700 700W ATX 12V v2.2 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular
Case - Cooler Master 922 Blue edition
CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212 plus ( want to add dual blue led fans)
Sound - ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Sound Card w/ Headphone amp

Microcenter was sold out of Asrock Extreme 3 gen 3 so I got the Asus p8z68-v lx deal for $70 (Normal $120) The specs looks about the same as the Extreme 3 gen 3.

I know the PSU 700w is over kill but that is the only want that is available that has blue led, modular, and reliable one.

Also I want to add a dual blue led fan setup for the cpu cooler, so i would need two good blue led, any suggestions?

Is everything else compatible? Anything else I would need?

Thanks,
Clinton

RE: Build check
Vengeance should be LP, I'm not sure if the normal heatsinks work with a hyper 212+.

RE: Build check
Yes, because its tall heatsinks will get in the way when you're trying to install your after-market CPU Cooler. You want RAM with heatsinks that aren't too high.

They mean like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820233196
They are a tad more than usual, they are normally $50. They fluctuate a lot.

They're even blue!

RE: Build check
Yes. Just a tip though: For the fans on the CPU Cooler, avoid "Sleeve" bearings, as fans equipped with those tend to fail quickly (6-12 months), with them making more noise to begin with. Ball bearing, Rifle or hydro bearings are good. This would be a good fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835150115
