Witcher 2 ubersampling
Hey all,

Trying to some gaming benchmarking and realized that after a few BSOD issues Im almost done resolving (I hope) that Ubersampling now completely kills my frame rate.

Now this game is from 2011, with a patch thats supposed to "improve" the requirements for this feature. And the note next to it says "only for powerful machines" or something to that effect.

So what this means is that my rig is not powerful enough?!? Anyone else have this game and a similar setup and have any problems with uber either? Maybe because my GPU is new? Running the latest RC driver.

Pineappl, any chance you have this game? Know we have almost identical setups. Big Grin

RE: Witcher 2 ubersampling
Interestingly enough, does seem like either a Witcher 2 or HD 7970 issue (or both). Many posts very recently on the issue and one with a "solution".

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/975399-th...s/62095701

I tried it myself, it does indeed stop the stuttering (which I guess is a better explaination of the what's happening), but using FRAPS it essentially locks the fps to 20, so it's just ever so slightly below what you can detect, but makes the game playable with those textures.

As the solution says, I hope they find a real solution. :/
