RE: (Fixed) First Gaming Rig Setup
I'd say the HAF X is overkill for what you have here.
If you want a blue theme, the Rosewill Blackhawk or the Antec 900/300 illusion are good cheaper alternatives.

But again, just my 2 cents. Take the money you save from the case and put it into something else, like a better GPU.

I also agree that the HAF X case is way overkill. If you like its looks, consider a HAF 922 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811119224 ) or 932 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811119213 ) which both cost less and still offer tremendous cooling without much noise.

CPU: If you intend to overclock it, you need the Core i5-2500K. Otherwise you're fine.

CPU Cooler: The A50 is slightly better, being slightly less noisy while offering similar performance.

PSU: 550-630W is overkill for your build. 450-500W would be more than enough. RAIDMAX make awful unreliable PSUs, to avoid. If you like the blue LEDs, check out the Corsair GS 500W: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-500-Watt-C...005UBNN8K/

XMS. The Vengeance tall heatsinks will get in the way of the CPU heatsink and will prevent you from installing it.

RE: (Fixed) First Gaming Rig Setup
The case is more of a matter of personal preference really. If I had to choose, I'd go with the 922. The 912 is a great case for the price, only beaten by the 300 Illusion when it goes on sale. I wouldn't buy the 900. In the end though, those are my personal preferences, any of them will do the job.

That fan and filter are good choices.

The side is covered by a window, you can't install any fan there. If you're talking about the hole on the motherboard tray, that's to facilitate the installation of an after-market CPU Cooler, not at all for a fan.

You don't need a fan filter for the PSU, but I'd recommend one, since you can't open up your PSU without voiding the warranty (it's also dangerous to mess around in a PSU anyway). Make sure to install it outside of the case and not inside of the case below the PSU, so that it's easy to reach it to clean it.

Yes, the stock cooler will keep your CPU at safe temperatures, but you might find it noisy.

Thing is, with a P67 motherboard, you'd lose the Ivy Bridge compatibility and PCI-Express 3.0 (if you upgrade to Ivy Bridge).

The only P67 motherboard that's compatible with Ivy Bridge is $150, so considerably more expensive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813157265
