GPU for dual monitors + HDTV

I currently have an ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II TOP GPU and 2 24" ASUS 1080p displays. I just recently purchased an HDTV and I've come to realize that this GPU cannot support 3 displays. My ultimate goal is to have each of the 24" monitors on a separate DVI-D connection and to have the HDTV on the HDMI connection.

Question is, is there anyway around the 2 GPU limit that Nvidia has or am I going to need to purchase an AMD card to use Eyefinity?

Nope, there's no way around the 2 monitors per video card limit with a Nvidia video card. You can either add a second Nvidia video card or sell your current card and get a Radeon HD 6950 2GB (slightly faster than a Geforce GTX 560 Ti on average) instead.

Note that you'd need an active Displayport to DVI adapter, such as this one, to use three monitors/TV: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814999030

You'd connect your HDTV via HDMI, one of the monitors to a DVI port and the other monitor to the Displayport->DVI adapter.

I'd recommend putting a second GTX 560 Ti in your computer and putting them in SLI. Unless you can sell the 560 Ti for a good price, you may not end up spending a whole lot more just buying the second card, and it would give you a pretty good performance boost in the process, on top of allowing you up to 4 screens.

Hey Mathieu, I found this but it has pretty bad reviews. Is there anything similar to this that I could use? I'm not necessarily trying to USE all 3 displays at once as much as I am trying to just have an easy way to get between the three. When I game I use the 2 monitors on the DVI-D connections and I'd like to be able to just switch to the HDMI input that is my HDTV and watch a show or something from my desktop on the tv. I dont need all 3 displays to be active at once.

I'm unfortunately not aware of any similar solution.

The only thing that I can think of would be to have a DVI to HDMI cable, leave the HDMI end plugged into the TV and to unplug the DVI cable from the 2nd monitor to switch to the DVI->HDMI cable of the TV and switch back to the DVI cable of your monitor when you're done.

Not exactly convenient, I know, but it's an idea.
