Diablo 3 Beta on older systems, Edited: 12/22/11 +GTX 460 768 Single/SLI
Finally done with school, did a quick test today. Will upload video soon. All tests are done with maximum available video options in Diablo III beta's menu at 1920x1080.

My PC: Look at Sig. I will also post SLi vs non SLi for my gtx 460s.

GTX 460 768 Single 850/1700/1900
FPS: 55-80
Very playable, unnoticeable frame rate decrease during battles.
Max GPU usage 100%
Max CPU usage 60% across cores. I suspect this to increase as you add more players and more monsters.

GTX 460 768 SLI 850/1700/1900
FPS: 95-100
Very playable, it seems even though VSync is off, Diablo II maxes out at 100 FPS. The GTX 460 768 SLI is capable of doing much more though.

RE: Diablo 3 Beta on older systems,
Should be interesting to see how it will run on the laptops.

As for SLI vs non-SLI, I don't expect SLI to do particularly well considering that the game is in Beta.
