Heart  Building a new PC in about a week
Ok so Im giving myself a new PC this Christmass (Woot!!) and I would like some feedback. Here are my parts list:

CASE: CoolerMaste White
CPU: Intel I5
MOBO: Gigabyte mobo
GPU: GeForce 550
RAM: Kingston 8gb
HD: Seagate 500gb
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W
DVD: LG DVD Burner

Im trying to be future proof.... From what I hear I can buy a second Geforce 550 and link them together if I need a better graphics card in the future or somthing.... Also I was wondering if this build can play AAA titles like B:AC, AC:R, COD:MW3 cuz im planing to buy them if steam puts them on sale during christmass....

It should run all of those, but if your gonna go with a 550 Ti, you should just spend liek 15 bucks more for a 6870. I don't think your motherboard will be good enough for SLi, not to mention the card itself for SLi is pretty bad.
Stratch that your Mobo will be fine for SLi since its x16/x8 I thought it was x16/x4, but regardless the card itself won't be good for SLi'ing

Interesting choice of colors for the case. Kind of expensive for what it offers too.
Same alternatives to consider:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=56560&vpn=...OLERMASTER

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=45753&vpn=...cture=NZXT
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=43105&vpn=...cture=NZXT

I see that you have a i5-2500K, assuming that you will overclock it right? It that is the case, make sure to get an after-market CPU Cooler, such as the Corsair A50 or A70, the included Intel CPU Cooler is no where good enough to handle overclocking.

Motherboard: For a similar price, this is a much better option: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=59320&vpn=...cture=ASUS
Crossfire/SLI support at 8x/8x, more backports.

Power supply: This is a more reliable unit that will cost you less: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=59271&vpn=...omoid=1311

Video Card: The GTX 550 is a poor performer, especially at that price. A Radeon HD 6850 will cost about the same: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=58225&vpn=...omoid=1311
and it will decimate the gtx 550 performance wise, as you can see here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4221/nvidi...t-at-150/5 and on the following pages.
Laptop: MSI GS30 Shadow-045 Dimensions: 12.6" x 8.9" x 0.8" 2.65lbs CPU: Intel Core i7-4870HQ Quad-Core + Hyper-Threading OC 2.5-3.9GHz RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Video Card: Intel Iris Pro 5200 Storage: 2x128GB SDD RAID0 Audio: ASUS Xonar U3 USB Sound Card + Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones Screen: 13.3" - 1920 x 1080 IPS + 27" Dell P2715Q IPS 3840 x 2160 Keyboard: Filco Majestouch MX Cherry Blue Mouse: Logitech MX518

No Im not planning on overclocking it.... Yet.... So I dont need a cooling fan.... But thanks for the tip on the mobo, power supply and graphics card!! Also Im keeping the case.... It looks too cool IMO.... (>^~^)>

EDIT: Whoops.... Spoke too soon.... The MOBO you suggested dosnt have an HDMI port.... I need one so I can link it to my TV/Monitor.... But the GPU and PSU check out fine!!

The reason he brought up overclocking is because you listed an unlocked CPU. If you don't intend to overclock there's no reason to buy that specific CPU and could save about $10 going with the locked version:

If you are on the fence about overclocking, then the unlocked version may be better, but it will need better cooling when you do.

As for the HDMI port, the video card takes care of that and has one.

If you're using a GPU then you wouldn't be connecting the monitor or TV to the Mobo, but rather to the GPU as Mathieu mentioned. If you connect it to the Mobo you would get the onboard performance rather than the GPU performance, something you wouldn't want.

RE: Building a new PC in about a week
TBH I only have a buget of ~$800 after tax and this set up (including the new PSU and GPU) with MIR and price matching is about that much.... So I cant afford the cooling system or a good GPU ATM.... Thats why Im not overclocking it yet and hoping that the SLI will help me play the bigger games in the future.... Anyway thanks for all your help guys!! Im gonna order the parts on Monday and hope that I can build it soon after!! Wish me luck!! (>^~^)>

Edit: oh.... I didnt know that.... Good thing I havent bought anything yet.... Ok, thanks again for all your advice!!
