Intel Celeron G530 Dual-Core 2.4GHz
My CPU has arrived! I see three thin gray strips on the included CPU cooler/fan unit where it will come in contact with the processor.
I found your previous response on this topic: "Actually, thermal paste is included with all the CPU Coolers that I recommend and are usually amongst the best, so you don't need to buy it separately." Since I'm going to be building a tier 0.5 system, I won't be buying a CPU cooler/fan upgrade. My question is: Does your advice still apply as to the included CPU cooler/fan unit? Just install as is and no upgrading of the thermal paste is advised? Thanks again! :-) |

RE: Intel Celeron G530 Dual-Core 2.4GHz
Considering that the CPU will run at its stock frequency, yes the stock cooler with the pre-applied thermal paste is just fine.
The only reason that you might want to consider upgrading it is if you find it too noisy for your tastes.
