BF and CM deals make me sad.
There wasn't no where near the same deals this year as last year. The only price of all my components that was less this year was the RAM as they are just lower now, not because of a sale price. HAF-X case was under $100 last year, was on sale this year for $180. I didn't get the Coolermaster V8 last year for $26, this year its on 'sale' for $46. Even when I got my F3 Spinpoint, I picked it up for $55 last year.... Now its on sale for $70 and its one of the better deals of the year.

I guess I was just spoiled last year and expected to much. I spent $1500 last year and was ready to again. This year I spent $0 and I am just sad about it. Confused My wife, I'm sure, is going to find something to spend it on now!

There are/were some pretty impressive deals, like the Seasonic X-650 at $110, some SSDs, some cases, but yes, I agree that overall, last year, there were more huge discounts on PC hardware. Then again, this year there are/were more good discounts and there are much better deals on laptops.

I did pick up a new monitor this year though. HP 2311X for $98 from Staples one day. Was the week before black friday, but I think I'll just say it was my deal for the season.
Of course this is after I told 2 family members I was going to build them pc's at the same deal I built mine for. Now I look bad. Smile
