Hey everyone,
I wanted to let you all know that I'm selling my desktop PC, which has been serving me as my Workstation/Gaming PC/HTPC. I'm selling it to fund a new laptop purchase (I'm planning to travel quite a bit and I'm looking into a Lenovo Thinkpad X220). I figured that I would offer you all the chance to buy either the whole desktop or some parts of it, at a great reduced price compared to brand new parts, before offering them on Ebay or locally. Unless specified otherwise, all parts are in perfect working order. New: Current price for the brand new product on Newegg, Amazon or Ebay. Selling for: The price that I'm asking. CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE At stock, this is a 3.2GHz Dual-Core CPU. However, I can assure you that it will function as an unlocked Quad-Core CPU, running at 3.8Ghz. I have been using it for over a year as a quad-core and many months overclocked and I can attest to its perfect stability. Of course, you'll need to change a few BIOS settings to have run as a 3.8GHz quad-core CPU but that's something that I can easily explain to you. You'll also need a good CPU Cooler to handle this overclocked CPU. I have used the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, which is also for sale below. New: $88 Selling for: $80 CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus New: $27 Selling for $20 Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO New: $87 Selling for: $70. Including I/O backplate, SATA cables and the like. Great reliable motherboard, has onboard video, can handle the overclocked CPU. RAM: Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz New: $33 Selling for $25. Standard 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz kit. Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 New: $170 Selling for $150. Bought this summer, powerful and fairly quiet. Storage: Intel X25-M 120GB SSD New: $240: Selling it for $200. Consider by many, including myself, as the most reliable SSD on the market. It never gave me a single problem and as part of this build, it allowed the PC to boot in under 15 seconds. I used it fairly lightly, seeing as all my media content is on the hard drives. 2x(two) Samsung F3 1TB New: $60 each Asking for $50 each (sold individually or together). Used them in RAID 0 and RAID 1, without any problem. Both report no problem what so ever in their SMART reports. Case: LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 3x140mm+1x120mm fans New: $100 Great case with good cooling with little noise. Built like a tank (In my opinion), with rubber dampening at various locations to eliminate vibrations. Fans make this weird noise at full rpm (I run them with the fan controller below, which gets rid of the noise), so I'm asking only $65 for it. Scythe Kage Master 4 channels fan controller New: $40 The fan controller part works perfectly well, however the RPM reporting doesn't work for one fan and reports a ridiculously high RPM for another Selling for $20 Mate the case fans with the fan controller and you don't have to worry about fan noise. Selling them(case + fan controller) together for only $75. PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W New: $120 Selling it for $80 Sound card: ASUS Xonar DG New: $30 Selling it for $20 In total, you're looking at: $1055 worth of products if you buy them brand new. Seperately, I'm selling them for $820. Buy them all together and I'm willing to let them go for $700 ($355 off brand new prices or $120 off buying them separately) As you can see, I'm pricing this to sell the whole PC as it running right now, but I'm also fine with selling individual parts if no one is interested in the whole PC. I'll consider selling the whole PC minus a few parts (for example, without the SSD, or without the video card), reply here for a quote. For pictures, check out this thread: http://forums.hardware-revolution.com/sh...p?tid=1377 If you want a picture of something specific, just ask. Send me a PM with your full address and what you'd be interested in for a shipping quote. Any and all custom charges are your responsibility. Reply with any questions. Payment methods: I prefer Paypal, although you must be verified. Other payments methods may be acceptable, just ask me.

Raffle the parts for site traffic, then put ads on the page!

That would work except for the fact that mat vows to never have a single ad on this site ever.

That is what I absolutely LOVE about this website. But, honestly, I think Mat should put adds. I absolutely do not mind them at all and Mat will also be making a bit more money. This awesome website will still be awesome if adds are added. |

I would rather keep the website ad free, however raising server hosting costs might force me to add a single obstructive ad eventually.
Anyhow, closing this thread, since I sold my PC.
