Need help with sound card installation
A friend of mine recently upgraded the sound card in his PC. He gave me his old sound card, and I plan on installing it since it should be an upgrade over the mobo sound. Which slot do I put the sound card in?

I have an ASRock 870 Extreme3 mobo and the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 sound card.

RE: Need help with sound card installation
Assuming that you have a single video card in the top PCI-Express 16x slot, you'll want to put the sound card in the very last slot at the bottom of the motherboard.

Also, make sure to download the latest drivers from Creative Labs website.

RE: Need help with sound card installation
Thanks Mathieu. I had the sound card in the second to bottom slot on the mobo.
Well that fixed it. I was trying to install the newest drivers and it said it couldn't detect a Creative product.
