Ask an NZXT Employee
[Image: Em7HL.jpg]

I recently got in contact with an NZXT employee that works in the product department. NZXT is best known for the cases they make, ranging from budget cases that offer incredible value such as the NZXT Gamma Classic to more high end and elegant cases like the NZXT Phantom and H2 Classic lines. They also make high end power supplies and a variety of different computer accessories.

He has offered to answer any questions you may have on Thursday, September 1st, so feel free to post them!

I'm flying home on that day =/
Ask him if NZXT is going to ever make a side window for the phantom series. I am sold on the white phantom but the window-less feature is holding me back.

RE: Ask an NZXT Employee
The NZXT Phantom is one of my favorite cases of all time. I love NZXT!

Question: Is NZXT going to sell 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies any time soon? Also, the Havik 140 is a great CPU cooler, are there any more coming?

RE: Ask an NZXT Employee
I've noticed a trend with NZXT's higher-end cases to completely exclude 3.5" external drive bays, or even adapters, from these products. Any particular reason? 3.5" Built-in media readers are becoming more and more prevalent, as well as USB 3.0 decks like that which comes with the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe.

Is this a deliberate design choice or a functionality that gets cut due to other reasons? If it's intentional, what is the rationale? They're present in several of the lower-end models. I can't seem to find drive bay adapters as add-ons or separate purchases from NZXT either.

RE: Ask an NZXT Employee
@van13330gg, We are currently working on a Phantom side-window for release, but have no target date for release.

@Phrosty, Development for keyboards is very expensive. We currently do not have any plans for a keyboard, but it is something we are interested in.

@Brian, The market for Platinum rated PSU's is very small right now, we will look into it as both we and the market grow.

@Jorgisven, The "floppy" 3.5in external bays are outdated. The majority of new card readers are 5.25" spec. In addition to being out dated, by removing them, it allows us to include more internal bays, 5.25" bays, fans, and design elements. I do apologize that you are not capable of using your included reader, I do know that modders have modded their 5.25" slugs to fit a 3.5" reader.

@MathieuB, Mini-ITX is a VERY hard market to work with. Right now it is too small to invest in, however we are very interested in designing for it. If we have a few good quarters, it is definitely a market we would be interested in trying.

@Brian, Wink

Keep the questions coming, I'll be here until 6PM PST.

RE: Ask an NZXT Employee
First I want to welcome you to the forums. It is good to get retail companies on the forums whenever possible.

My question...I was looking at using the Source 210 Elite as a media/file server and curious as to when or if this case will be phased out and/or replaced? Trying to plan for future expansion.
