Build
Hey! This is my PC build modeled on mostly Mathieu's guide.

Mobo: ASRock Extreme 4 P67 Gen3
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Processor 3.3GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA1155
CPU Cooler: Corsair A70
GPU: 2 AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 in CF
PSU: Antec HGC 750W
Case: NZXT Phantom
RAM: Patriot 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600mhz
Hard Drive: Crucial M4 2.5″ 64GB SATA III Solid State Drive (SSD) and Samsung F3 1TB SATA II 3.0Gb/s
Optical Drive: ASUS SATA 24X DVD Burner

I also plan on getting a NZXT 200mm fan for the top of the case (as I heard the only 200mm fans that fit on the top of the case was the NZXT brand) as well as a 140mm fan for the front. (:

Probably this blue LED 200mm to match the one that comes with the case.

I would love suggestions/CnC on this build :3 Also if someone would so kindly suggest a 140mm fan for the front of the case, that would be awesome.

Price of this build is around 1200$~

RE: Build
Your build looks great to me, I wouldn't change a thing.

Just so you know, the NZXT Phantom is also available in other colors.

As for the front 140mm fan, I'd get either this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835146002
or this one, which is similar but also features three speed settings:

RE: Build
Thanks for the help Big Grin

and yeah, but I love the white (:

Also, should I get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820104266 (you posted this in the talks and deals section) instead of the Patriot one? Or are the heatsinks too high? It's 10$ cheaper than the Patriot ones.

Thank you so much. I wouldn't know where to start without your guide and everyone's assistance on here!

RE: Build
Kerren, if you plan on overclocking your RAM, find something with a voltage rating fo 1.5. It'll give you more room for overclocking, as well as being generally higher-quality sticks. If you don't plan to overclock, then save the few bucks and just get the Kingston HyperX.

Here's an example of near-priced 1.5v RAM that matches the dark motherboard color (if that's something you look at): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820233144

As for fans, frozencpu.com has a great selection, although typically a little more expensive. Check out their huge custom fan selection to find a sweet-spot of performance/noise and then price shop for that part. The 200mm fan on top allows for third-party fans, however, they must be 20x200mm, very thin and uncommon. However, at frozencpu.com, they have 7 different color options from BitFenix brand.

Oh thanks!

I might overclock my RAM, eventually. But will the heat sinks on the Corsair Vengeance be in the way of my A70?

As for the fans, that's awesome. Big Grin More options are always great.

RE: Build
It's gonna fit but the fins of the cooler and the ram are going to be a little too close together for my comfort. Go with the ripjaws--they're shorter.
Nice choice of case & color btw. Definitely my second favorite, add a side window to it then it might be my most favorite =)

RE: Build
Mmm. Ripjaws don't match the mobo well D: So brightly colored red. Unless there are black ones? And thanks! I love the case and the white paint job looks so crisp and awesome.

RE: Build
I understand that but how many times are you gonna open up that case after building it? Are you gonna keep it open or something?

RE: Build
Thanks guys (:

What's the difference between the Ripjaw series and the Sniper series ;o; Very confused.

And yeah, I guess color scheme isn't too much of a problem :\ If they're the best option I'll get them.
