PSU or Mobo problems
Angry So i have been building my stepdad a desktop PC, a nice one. unfortunately, My motherboard or Power supply is not working. I am using Antec Truepower 550 watts, and Asus P8H61-I. I put everything together, plug it all in, and the standby light is green. But when i turn it on, it powers up for 1 second, then turns off. It is really frustrating, and annoying considering there is a lot of money in this build. Please reply, i need some help here.

RE: PSU or Mobo problems
Have you tried assembling it outside your case with only the PSU, motherboard, RAM, CPU and CPU cooler?

Additionally, is your 4/8 pin power connector plugged in?

Do you have a spare motherboard or PSU to test with?

You could try temporarily unplugging it and plugging in the essential cables into the motherboard.

Think im just going to Micro center to return the psu. If the next one doesnt work, il call it quits and blame the mobo.
