Tongue  need help with choosing a case?
hi, i am in the market for a new case.i have read tons of reviews and watched youtube videos forever.i have narrowed it down to:
haf x
corsair 600t black
corsair 800d
coolermaster sniper black edition
corsair 650d
i really have no set budget, maybe keep it between 200-300
cooling is a big factor.i love the look of the corsair cases but heard negatives about air cooling which i will be doing?any advice or better recommendations would be helpful.
i have an intel dg965wh mobo,c2q q6600,4gb kingston ddr2 667 ram,hitachi 250gb sata hdd,rosewill media card reader,rosewill 500 watt psu, and ecs 8800gts 320mb video card.i know its old but she still runs strong after 4 years.i do minimal gaming,heavy internet surfing,dvd fab,dvd shrink,etc

Just pick the case you think looks best. They're all good enough.

They're great cases. Honestly, you don't need massive airflow. If you like the way it looks, buy it (unless it has like 1 80mm fan ... then you have an issue).

RE: need help with choosing a case?
I usually run my Cooler Master 932 with the fans off, since I have really good CPU and GPU cooling, even when the room is warm and I'm in a game.

RE: need help with choosing a case?
The thermals for the corsair cases aren't the best, but they're nothing to be worried about, either. The HAF will probably have the lowest temperatures, but also higher noise, whereas it will be opposite for the corsair cases (at least the 650D I know). Still, there aren't any game changing differences, so it's down to personal preferences.

Thanks for your very helpfull information!

I don't want a noisey case. I am sesitive to noise and very much so.

Would you, please, recommend a quiet case with the features I had said I wanted in my original posting?

Sorryl I think I lost my bearing in this forum. I had replied to a number of folks who were great in answering my requests!

Brian, I belive you said something about stock coolers being paper weights.
Would you, please, recommend some good ones?

This goes over the somewhat higher-end of quiet cases, and all but one are under the 200 mark. I haven't used any of the cases myself, but that's what the tests are for.
