help with power splitter cable search
i have an audigy 2 zs platinum pro i just put in my new pc, and went out and bought a 4-pin to 4-pin (completely ignoring it was a 4-pin connected straight to the power supply). The power supply i have now (Antec HCG-520) doesn't have a 4-pin so im looking for the most common/appropriate power splitter cable for this thing (like molex to 4-pin) but am only finding older stuff that would have connected to my dell 8300 dimension.

Any suggestions?

Wait what do you mean? The 4 pin for your CPU power? The Antec HCG-520 surely has a 4+4 pin.

So something like this:

except i need one side to hook up to the power supply. This is a four-pin (not a 4+4 pin) like this:

This second link is a scan i made of the audigy manual where is says to connect a power splitter cable from the card to the power supply. You can see a cable (4-pin to molex) connecting to molex straight into the power supply. This is roughly what i want, except the one they show there, is a molex used for older SATA's and other compatible hardware. I have a few in the dell 8300 and NONE in this new one (tier 2 build).

That looks like a proprietary DELL form factor. I'm not sure if they make adapters for it or not.

RE: help with power splitter cable search
I researched a little more on what that cable was that i posted above (4-pin), and some places are calling it a 4-pin cd/dvd audio connector cable. But if this a DELL only thing...well, then i'm outta luck Sad

Let me try to come at this from another angle:

I'm trying to install an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro into my tier 2 PC. Is this at all possible, and if so, what kind of connector cable(s) would i need for the setup?

Doesn't it just use PCI?

RE: help with power splitter cable search
The Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro simply needs an older type of power connector, the one that were commonly used for floppy drives before.

The Antec HCG-520 does come with one floppy power connector, most likely on a chain with other Molex connectors.
