New Build hdd D.O.A.?
Hello everyone I have a Western Digital 2 TB Sata hard drive to go along with my new build. The problem I have is that it isn't being recognized by my BIOS or in Windows under Device Manager. I tried changing to a different Sata port and a different Sata cable nothing shows up. Am I missing something or is it defective? Any suggestions? thanks

It sounds faulty. It should show up in your BIOS if it's working properly.

I'd try a different HDD if there's one laying around. Otherwise RMA would be your best option.

Thanks for your input fellas. RMA approved shipping it back to Newegg tomorrow.
