Make sure the power switch is on and everything is fully plugged in but it may be due to a faulty power supply.

What happens when you press the power button? Do the fans spin at all?

Make sure to double-check all your power connections, as well as the power switch connector on the front panel connections part of your motherboard.

Power supply might be bad but it just can't crap out like that if you haven't done anything to it in a couple of days. It doesn't seem right in my opinion. Have you unplugged anything inside the case during that time frame?

I see you took parts out. Did you plug the 4/8pin into the motherboard aside from the 24 pin one?
The switch on the back of PSU has to be on I, not O. Try plugging the power cord directly to the wall.

It sounds like a faulty PSU, do you have another PSU available that you could test with?

By the way, the symbols on the PSU switch are 1 and 0. 1 = on, while 0 = off.

After I finished my build and powered everything on, i just ran it long enough to install windows, firefox, and steam, then i shut it down and went to bed, this was Wed. night 3am(really late) i got home Thursday from work and turned it on, everything fine, and used the PC for about 5 hrs then shut down for the night, from first power on to last shutdown i never opened the case or removed anything. Friday i get home from work and it would not power on. i then did check all of my connections to the power supply, the wall outlet(had power) the power strip(had power) checked removed and replaced all of the connections to the mob, dvd, hd, including both power connectors to the mob. and still nothing. just got a new power supply, this time a Corsair GS700, hooked everything up, and worked right away. Man o man I can't wait to leave my feedback on the Coolmax power supply at Amazon, Nothing wrong with Amazon i did get the .edu free two day shipping Smile, but Coolmax is done with me in my book, i was gonna buy some nice looking fans but not now. any ways thanks everyone for the help and advice.

There's a reason that I don't recommend Coolmax PSUs and that I tell people not to cut corners on PSUs. Glad to hear that you've figured out and fixed your problem. Enjoy your PC Big Grin

I see. I'm glad that worked out for you! I wish I had read Mathieu's power supply article before making a decision to buy too. I got an OCZ (not too bad brand for regular use) but it has weak current so I ended up getting an Antec power supply, which I am now very happy with.
