Backplate touches Chassis
I am in the process of building my first system, and have encountered something i want to check on before i continue. Ive read replies saying this is and is not an issue.
My motherboard is mounted properly using the supplied standoffs, but my hyper212 cooler back plate is in contact with the case chassis. There is no pressure on the motherboard, everything looks fine and fit fine except for the back plate contact. Is this contact a problem, should i buy/find longer standoffs and replace those given with the case? Or being insulated, is it not a problem? ![]() ![]() |

RE: Backplate touches Chassis
No it's not a problem, no electricity is going through the backplate.
