For the price, that is a great setup. Sandy Bridge K proc, 8gb RAM, and a good video card? Yeah, I would definitely consider that. You can go on Newegg and try to configure that same setup in a wishlist and see what the price would be to go custom, but I can already tell you it will be a lot more.

yeah i had one on the wishlist and it was about 1200 with about the same specs just a Twin Frozr II GeForce GTX 560 Ti video card

but thank you i was stuck whether going custom for about 1200 or that for 750
guess im going for the 750 Smile

Video card is pretty weak. I'm sure you could build it for a bit cheaper. It's not bad though.

In a second opinion, you could build this with a an i5-2500 (unless you will overclock then you need a K proc), 4GB of RAM (8 won't do all that much unless you work with Adobe software a ton), a 500GB HD (and upgrade your total storage when storage is even cheaper), a better and cheaper case, a better video card, and a monitor! Let us know what you decide to do.

would you say this is a good set up

Intel Core i5-2500 Quad-Core 3.3-3.7GHz Turbo 95W

not sure what motherboard to use

and for monitor im planing to use my samsung 1080p tv
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz

MSI Hawk GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB

SAMSUNG F3 1TB

not sure what power supply would be good

and anything else i need to complete a comp?

I can figure that all out for you, don't worry!
And unfortunately you will need to purchase either a P67 or Z68 motherboard. I prefer Z68 because it offers more features than P67 for the same price. I can find a board for you too.
