Depends on your budget and your plans on how to use it. It'll best a Phenom X4, even if the latter is highly OCed.

Getting an 1155 socket CPU will always allow you to move up to an i5 2000K, for instance.

Not necessarily, a highly OCed Phenom II X4 will most likely beat the Core i3 2100. Especially in highly multi-threaded apps.

Pretty sure you meant the Core i5-2500K here Wink
