RE: $950 Gaming PC for a friend's cousin
Yeah, he got it yesterday and he's very happy with it. He chose the case himself
![]() He has a 1366 x 768 monitor, hence why the video card isn't that powerful. Figured that with his budget, he would be better served with a more powerful CPU and a SSD to make the system more future-proof and more responsive. Just noticed that you can see my reflection on the case in the 2nd picture, with my white belt and *gasp* red shirt(!), hahaha.

Your not supposed to build it for them. Your supposed to teach them the ways of building so they can upgrade and know what to look for when things go wrong... unless this person is under 10 years old.

Haha. One thing I learned about building for friends and/or family members:
They expect free tech support for life.

You're not supposed to tell me what to do with my own life ![]() ![]() That said, I generally agree with that idea. Kind of the point of the website too and I get to make a living out of it ![]() (03-28-2014, 10:01 AM)Rapajez Wrote: Haha. RE: $950 Gaming PC for a friend's cousin
I am about to do the same thing for a relative of mine. Might go off of a regular ~$600 workhorse build.
