RE: Rookie Computer Build, Suggetions?
I'm not sure any computer will last 15 years.

A couple of thoughts in no specific order.
1) the PSU. I'm not familiar with that brand, but I saw a review for the 900w that wasn't very good. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?nam...y4&reid=92
2) for the combined price of the motherboard and CPU you could get a faster 4960K and a Z97 motherboard on a combo deal that come and go fairly often. President's day sales are just around the corner.
3) Memory, I would get at least DDR3 1600 memory Today, not much needs 16GB but it is nice to have. 32GB is a luxury, and could be added later.
4) SSD - don't go out without one Smile I like 250GB min size
5) I'm no longer a windows 8 hater and in fact prefer it now over my win7 enterprise I use at work.
6) HDD you will want one of those too.

good luck
