Old laptop
So i have this old (5years) laptop that i've been trying to get working properly.
It was crashing and freezing up all the time so i decided to run kill disk on it and do a clean install of OpenSuse (previously it was running windows 7). However the same issues still occurred. This leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the hardware. I ran memtest 86+ for about 3 passes and it returned no errors. Perhaps the thermal paste has worn out? I'm not really sure, what do you guys think the problem could be? The laptop is an MSI GX600. If you need more info just let me know what you need. Thanks, thecheeseking |
