Another 1st Build Help Thread
Hello gentlemen. I've browsed these forums for quite some time now and you all seem like a nice friendly community and I decided to come to you guys for help. I'm not the most tech savvy person but I managed to conjure up a low budget gaming build with the help of the guides here. I wanted to make one or two adjustments and to confirm the compatibility as well as any other sorts of advice.

Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
$50 @ Newegg

ASRock H61M/U3S3 LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
$75 @ Newegg

Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor G850 2.9GHz 3MB LGA1155 CPU
$83 @ Amazon

SilverStone Strider 500W, 80 PLUS, Active PFC Power Supply ST50F-ES
$60 @ Amazon

Crucial CT2CP25664BA1339 4GB 2GBx2 240-pin PC3-10600 DIMM DDR3 Memory KIT
$24 @ Amazon

And for the GPU I had quite a few choices. I mainly just play Starcraft 2, and plan on getting Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3 so being able to run these are high-ultra at a cheap price would be my goal. Future proofing would be nice too if at all possible. I might even plan on getting Skyrim but I don't need Skyrim on insane settings if it means a whole new league of GPUs.
These are just two I found.

XFX ATI Radeon HD6770 1 GB DDR5 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card HD677XZNLC
$110 @ Amazon

HIS Radeon HD 6770 1 GB (128 bit) GDDR5 Eyefinity DisplayPort 2x DL-DVI (HDCP) HDMI PCI Express X16 2.1 Video Card
$110 @ Amazon

Looks like you missing both an hard drive and an optical (DVD) drive in your build.

Either video card will do, they are based on the same GPU and will offer identical performance. I'd go with the XFX due to their better reliability record and better customer support.

Depending on your monitor's resolution (the lower it is, the less demanding it is on the video card), SC2 and ME3 should run at ultra-high, not sure for Diablo 3 and Skyrim will most likely not run at ultra-high, but should run at medium-high without a problem.

If you can afford it, for $50 more, a Radeon HD 6870 will run pretty much any game maxed out at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and will be quite more future-proof than a Radeon HD 6770.

If that's too expensive, you can consider a $130 ($20 more than the 6770) Radeon HD 6790, which provides a small performance improvement over the Radeon HD 6770:

Mind you, it's no where as fast as the Radeon HD 6870 though.

Other than that, your build looks good to me.

Oh I'm recycling my current hard drive and optical drive.

Thank you though for your advice. I have a relatively medium sized TV for a monitor and I'm sure it'll be fine in that department, and I think I'll probably get the 6870. Thanks though for the confirmation of compatibility! This site is amazing and thank you again.

I don't know if this helps, but 1 gtx 460 768 is plenty for Diablo 3 Beta 1920x1080 constant 60+fps. I checked the GPU usage, and it never passed 90%. Diablo 3 will rely more on your CPU than your GPU.
